Before You Start
Start with the records people already ask about every week. The goal is usefulness in one sitting, not perfection.
- Know who needs access.
- Know which houses matter.
- Know which children or dependents need schedules.
- Know which vendors and contacts are critical.
- Know which calendars should connect.
- Know who manages daily coordination.
Step 1 - Create The Foundation
Add the primary house first. House context helps answer, “Which house is this for?” before confusion starts.
Step 2 — Add People
| Role | Use For |

| Household Manager | Trusted daily coordination. |
| Family Member | Family users who contribute. |
| Household Support | Caregivers, assistants, drivers, helpers. |
| Viewer | Read-only visibility. |
Do not give everyone admin access just because setup is easier. Use the least access that still lets people do their work.
Steps 3-7 - Add Core Records
Add children or dependents before building school runs. Add locations for schools, airports, medical offices, service gates, activity locations, and frequent destinations.
Add stores, vendors, and vehicles when they create recurring context. If someone will ask for the address, entrance, supplier, or vehicle again, put it in Omnisant.
Step 8 - Connect Calendars
Connect Google from Preferences, choose the default outbound calendar, import personal events, and confirm visibility expectations. Use the Calendar & Sync Guide for details.
Step 9 - Build First Week
- School runs.
- Service items.
- Key events.
- First shopping list.
- First directory contacts.
- First notes.
Step 10 - Run Today
Today is the daily timeline. Check what is happening, mark things complete, and add context before starting another thread.
First Week Success Checklist
- Can everyone sign in?
- Does each person see the right modules?
- Are houses correct?
- Are key contacts in Directory?
- Are school runs visible?
- Are calendar events appearing?
- Are service items tracked?
- Is Today part of the daily rhythm?
